Kashipu Fun Day returns for third edition
The third edition of the annual Kashipu Fun Day is set for 1 to 4 December at Okapya village in the Oshana Region.
Aimed at giving opportunities to small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and bringing entertainment to rural areas, this year’s edition is themed ‘Empowering farmers and women in SME leadership’.
The four-day event will feature art exhibitions, music performances, boxing and a seven-a-side football tournament as well as corporate and traditional stalls and a kiddies’ corner.
“The exhibition stalls were awarded to SMEs from all corners of the country and mostly they will be selling food and beverages. It’s a good a platform to generate income during the festive season,” organiser Sandro Ithana said.
The music line-up will consist of Chester Houseprince as the headlining act, supported by Yabollove NM, G Family, Wiser, Mike V and more, while on the decks attendees can expect sets by DJ Sisco, Eric The DJ, DJ Zwane and DJ Zozo.
“The seven-a-side tournament has N$5 000 up for grabs with a registration fee of N$350.
“This is the first time the event will feature a boxing tournament. The public has been requesting for it during previous years and we are proud to say this sport code is finally part of the activities,” Ithana added.
