JUST IN: Germany supports youth orchestra

On 24 May, the German embassy - ​​represented by Dr Andreas Götze, the deputy head of the diplomatic mission of the German embassy in Namibia - and the Youth Orchestra of Namibia (Yona) - represented by Gretel Coetzee - signed an agreement. This agreement is for the co-financing of the National Youth Orchestra Festival, which will take place later this month, on 23 and 24 June. Yona will receive N$56 000 (about 3,000 euros) from the embassy.

“Thank you to the German embassy for their continued support! We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts," Yona wrote on its Facebook page.
