The new single marks more than just a release; it’s a preview of a larger body of work that Jaliza is gearing up to unveil. “Yes indeed, this new single is part of a larger project,” she confirmed.
“You still haven’t seen anything yet; this is just the snippet into my new EP dropping soon.” For fans, it’s an exciting glimpse of what’s to come as Jaliza continues to expand her artistic repertoire.
My story
Accompanying the release is a music video that promises to capture the essence of Jaliza’s storytelling prowess.
Known for infusing her personal experiences into her music, Jaliza explains her approach to the visuals: “I’m quite a storyteller, so every song I release is about things that I myself have learned throughout my journey," she said.
"Being a light or [example of] excellence for a young girl sitting at home, listening to my songs, [who] will be able to relate and learn from my experiences and grow from that, because the song tells it all. So we kept the visualiser simple and cute. That’s why we had an indoor shoot.” The video aims to resonate on a personal level, blending simplicity with heartfelt narrative.
Strong partnership
Jaliza’s latest single is a collaboration with renowned producer Kalo on The Beat, whose influence is evident in the track’s polished production.
Reflecting on their collaboration, Jaliza said: “Working with a guru like Kalo always makes things so much easier. The producing was smooth because he is one of the best producers I have ever worked with, and his style of production suits my voice. We made a true gem within a few hours.” Their synergy shines through in the track’s vibrant sound, which perfectly complements Jaliza’s dynamic vocal style.
Carrying on
At the heart of the song is a powerful message of self-discovery and resilience. “The message is a woman finding her true self, being emancipated and standing firm to face all the challenges life throws at her,” Jaliza said. “Being able to fall in front of the world, pick herself up, and carry on like nothing happened.” It’s a theme that resonates deeply, particularly in an era where personal empowerment is celebrated and sought after.
Jaliza is not just focused on the music but also on the broader impact she hopes to make. “This era of my life is called self-autonomy,” she declared. “With this exciting new project, I’m coming after everything that I lost and was robbed of. I will use that to my benefit, and like I always did, I’ll rise above all scandals – the best revenge is your paper.”
Jaliza’s new single and video drop today, promising fans not just a new song but a declaration of independence and strength. As she continues to rise, her message of empowerment stands as a beacon for listeners everywhere.
