DJ Chronic: Tour wraps up Windhoek leg tonight

MICHAEL KAYUNDE
Award-winning producer DJ Chronic has recently joined forces with Chez Ntemba to unveil the Windhoek leg of his highly anticipated three-project national tour.

The tour encompasses three distinct projects, with the first being 'Kings of Chronicles', which was originally released on 30 November 2019. The second project, titled 'Bosso', made its debut exactly two years later on the same date. The third and final project is an EP titled 'Good Times', set to be released on the same date this year.

Having kicked off on Wednesday evening, the musical experience rocked Windhoek last night as well, with tonight being the last performance.

Speaking with tjil in an exclusive interview earlier this week, DJ Chronic - real name Lukas Kambinda - revealed that all the talented artists featured on these albums were set to grace the stage on the different days of the tour, showcasing their unique talents to the eager audience.

Embarking on a mission to unite creatives nationwide and propel the industry to new heights, the producer emphasised the importance of taking good music directly to the people.

"The ultimate aim is to unite creatives across the country and grow the industry at large," he said. The Windhoek leg of the tour is merely the beginning, with additional locations soon to be announced.

All-night affair

To ensure an unforgettable experience for attendees, DJ Chronic said the shows in the capital would be all-night affairs.

“It's been specially curated to provide a sunrise experience like no other. From 18:00 to 07:00 on all three days, fans can immerse themselves in the enchanting atmosphere of Chez Ntemba and witness the sunrise while enjoying electrifying performances from a line-up of exceptional artists,” he said, adding that a photo booth will be available, granting fans the opportunity to capture professional snapshots alongside their favourite musicians.

“Fans will also have the privilege of becoming part of the tour documentary we are shooting, giving them an opportunity to be a part of history.”

The series of events not only showcases DJ Chronic's incredible talent, but shines a light on guest performances by esteemed artists such as DJ Vuyo, MGee, My Nigga Get Rich and Sixa Vundakan, among others.
