D-Square's ‘The Gift From Above’

MICHAEL KAYUNDE
D-Square - real name Darius Nghiwilepo - has been making music since 2005, but it wasn't until recently that his singles caught mainstream attention.

Having served his fans with singles for many years, in August, the musician finally released his debut album, ‘The Gift From Above.’

In an interview with tjil, he shared that his first full body of work boasts 13 songs.

“Before releasing this album, the support of my fans placed me on radio charts with singles like ‘Yandjiyela’, which features Christmas, and I see myself growing my audience with this album.”

Specialising in Afropop and kwaito-gospel, D-Square mentioned that production-wise, he has worked with top Namibian producers including Arrafath Muhure, Mr V-Lo, Tommy, Sixxa and Young T.

‘The Gift From Above’ is available for purchase at music shops countrywide and on order via 081 299 5959.
