King Tee Dee and his dedicated team stand fully prepared for the 2023 edition of the SB09 Music Festival, set to unfold at the University of Namibia (Unam) stadium over the course of today and tomorrow.

In an interview with tjil, King Tee Dee shared that they have teamed up with partners like Standard Bank, Tafel Lager, Audi and Jägermeister Namibia.

“Everything's going smoothly. It has been an awesome ride getting ready for one of Namibia's biggest two-day music festivals,” he said.

Now, for the real deal – the music and the fun!

The star of the show this year is MaWhoo, a dynamic performing artist from South Africa known for hits with Master KG, Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.

MaWhoo's going to rock the stage, and she's not alone. King Tee Dee, Tate Buti, Yeezir, DJ Castro, Big Ben, KP Illest, DJ Spuzza, Chester Houseprince, Skrypt, Paqueno Gang and more Namibian artists and DJs will be joining in the musical fiesta.

King Tee Dee also ran an SMS competition that got the social scene buzzing.

Cool prizes

“The Tafel Lager one-year beer giveaway was a hit. It was a way for us to give back to my fans and Tafel Lager lovers who've supported us for years.

“The competition spread across Namibia, with my face gracing 25 stores in Windhoek. The lucky winners were announced yesterday, and they're in for some cool prizes,” the 'Oho Penge' artist said, adding that one winner will get a VIP experience at SB08 Music Festival and a year's supply of Tafel Lager.

Another will land general access and six months' worth of beer, while the third will get general access plus three months of Tafel Lager.

King Tee Dee stressed that the SB09 Music Festival has become a big deal over the years, and this time, it's going to be even more awesome.

“My team and I are pulling out all the stops. We’re bringing in a new setup style, a fashion court, sports games and a whole lot more fun stuff to make this year's festival unforgettable."
