On Valentine's Day, Namibian poet, singer and songwriter SheCantGo released her debut single, ‘Give You My Love'.

The day, symbolising love and connection, perfectly aligns with the essence of the song, making the release not only a musical offering, but a heartfelt gift to her audience.

Real name Niita Shikongo, SheCantGo is no stranger to the Namibian music scene. Having collaborated with renowned artists such as Gazza, Lioness and The Ruperts, she has honed her craft and solidified her presence among the musical elite.

However, ‘Give You My Love’ marks a significant milestone as it is her first official single. The song is a testament to her growth - not only musically, but personally, as she embraces her identity and shares her love through her art.

Collaborative spirit

Produced and engineered by DJ Shoza, the song is a captivating blend of deep tropical house beats and sincere lyrics. This combination creates an immersive listening experience that invites audiences to explore the depths of their own emotions.

The release was accompanied by a meticulously planned rollout, featuring a lyric video and an 'out now' clip showcasing the collaborative spirit that brought this project to life. With contributions from talents such as Pekelatate, Shili Munyama, Rosalia Amupolo and Zatha Shitapuleni, the launch was a celebration of creativity and teamwork.

The visual aspect to ‘Give You My Love’ is equally impressive, with styling by Frolensia Hitilasha and make-up by Taimi Nuuyango. Ezer Mbambus provided the striking cover art, further elevating the song's presentation.

Reflecting on her journey, SheCantGo shared: "I spent a lifetime running away from who I am, not understanding that to deny who you are is to deny God".

“In honouring the gift I’ve been given, please allow me to bear my soul, share my art and give you my love."
