In an exclusive interview with tjil, the songstress shared that the project comprises five tracks, boasting collaborations with top Namibian artists like Page from Ethnix, Skrypt and KP Illest.

Known for her catchy hooks, she also highlighted that production-wise, she worked with Namibia's top-tier producers Kallo On The Beat, Mr Glo, and KBoz.

The EP's title, '5 Star', holds profound significance for Ms Gideon.

"I believe all the songs on this EP are five-star rated. When something is deemed five-star, it signifies the pinnacle of excellence, and that's precisely how I perceive this collection."

Dedication and hard work

Her pride in this musical feat was palpable as she reflected on the journey, emphasising the sense of accomplishment in delivering a comprehensive project within a remarkably short timespan since entering the mainstream music scene.

"It's been a year since I emerged in this industry, and to release a project of this magnitude within that timeframe feels incredible. It's a testament to my dedication and hard work," she shared.

The EP's release is complemented by a captivating music video for the track 'For My Girls'.

“It's the final track I recorded for the EP. Releasing the EP alone wasn't my intention; I believe visuals would perfectly complement the release,” she said.
