JUST IN: Savanna Beef targets 2024 to slaughter
Should everything go according to plan, construction of the Savanna Beef Processing (SBP) plant could start in May this year. By November or December 2024, the plant could be operational.

Schneider is the chairman of the task force of the Value Chain Forum (BVCF).
"We are actively busy with a lot of parallel actions. Two important aspects have been tackled since January: the design phase of the plant and the financing of SBP," Schneider says.
"Two big hurdles" have to be overcome currently.
"The first hurdle is the design and the real cost of the plant. Until now, we got our figures from feasibility studies, now we are working with real costs. The second hurdle is financing the plant," he explains.
