JUST IN: Agribank urges public to use whistle-blower platform on website

Ellanie Smit
Agribank has urged the public to make use of its anonymous whistle-blower platform, a tool where unethical, corrupt or fraudulent activities can be reported by staff, members of the public and other stakeholders.

The platform was launched in 2021 and is now available on the bank’s website.

It is intended to ease the reporting of concerns and/or wrongdoings and further encourage all stakeholders to raise concerns with Agribank rather than reporting such concerns through other channels.

The following issues may be reported: Fraud; bribery; corruption; theft; receipt of facilitation payments; failure to comply with laws such as anti-money laundering requirements; misuse of company property; damage to company property, and other unethical conduct. Incidents can be reported via agribank.com.na.
