First NamLits Online Café opened
In collaboration with the Meat Board of Namibia, Nicolene Coetzee has taken the initiative to set up the first NamLITS Online Café.
NamLITS cafés are an extension of the Meat Board with the aim of assisting producers with the options available on the NamLITS online system.
Several farmers do not have reliable internet access or individuals are not familiar enough with computers to fully utilise the NamLITS online system.
Some farmers are simply frustrated with certain tasks and would like to delegate these functions to a third person. Nicolene's NamLITS Online Café is conveniently located in the NAU building, Agrihouse, in Windhoek.
Variety of tools
Coetzee's online services include, amongst others, permit applications; registration and termination of animals; ear tag orders; the printing of herd lists; the reconciliation of physical herds against the herd list on the system; completion of the six-monthly animal health declaration; updating of personal information on the system; and changes in the classification of animals (i.e., from male to female or vice versa).
Producers can also use the NamLITS café to keep their herds up to date on the system.
Coetzee's NamLITS Online Café also offers workshops that provide training to producers to enable them to access the NamLITS online platform with confidence.
The NamLITS cafés offer solutions to producers at a reasonable cost and a service of high quality is assured.
