Workshop explores photography, history and freedom

The embassy of Portugal in Namibia, together with StArt Art Gallery and the Namibian Art Association (NAA), are presenting a workshop with the photographer and anthropologist Carlos Barradas, titled 'Photography, History, and Freedom: An Exploration of Historic Moments'.
The five-day workshop will take place from 22 to 28 November at the NAA's exhibition space (Robert Mugabe Avenue 122, Windhoek).
The workshop is organised in the context of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution in Portugal, which will take place next year. The Portuguese Carnation Revolution took place on 25 April 1974, ending the dictatorial regime that had been in place in the country since 1926.
Applications are open until 13 November and can be submitted through the following link: https://forms.gle/EV9cJ4RXSKFBrG276. The workshop is free of charge and is supported by Camões, I.P. - Institute for Cooperation and Language.
