Top boxing promoter Nestor Tobias believes that the undercard fights in a boxing bonanza are just as important as the main bout. The promoter believes that the MTC Together as One Part 6 Bonanza slated for 19 March at Helao Nafidi will produce a top calibre undercard for the main fight.
This also serves as MTC Nestor Tobias Promotions’ way of giving an opportunity to upcoming fighters.
The main fights of the night will involve Paulinus ‘John John’ Ndjolonimus, Charles Shinima and Philips ‘Energy’ Nghitumbwa, who are eager to defend their titles.
“We however have top undercard fighters who we feel can also steal the show on the night. This is all about giving opportunities to these guys at all levels and that is what the MTC Sunshine is about.
“All fights are equally important and those fighting undercard can always work their way up to become the main attraction in the future,” Tobias said.
Emmanuel Mungadjela will be defending his national title against the undefeated Bernard Bernard, while Paulus Amavila and Elson Kalus will fight for the vacant junior welterweight national title to bring the number of title fights to five that night.
Ndjolonimus will come up against Erick Tshimanga of the Democratic Republic of Congo in a WBO Africa super middleweight bout over 12 rounds.
Nghitumbwa will be fighting Tony Rashid of Tanzania in a WBO global super bantamweight bout over 12 rounds.
Tickets cost N$50 for adults and N$20 for kids, while VIP tickets cost N$200.
The other undercard will be as follows: Sebastianus Nathanael vs Gerson Vaeta. Martin Mukungu vs Shitilitha John. Sam Mathews vs Immanuel Jason. Lineekela Nghifindaka vs Ambrosius Kemunini. Onesmus Nekundi vs Lazarus Shaningwa.
