Charles Bou Raad

RSS_DPA_Sports - Leipzig, Germany (dpa) - RB Leipzig top scorer Christopher Nkunku has returned to training after recovering from coronavirus and could face Mainz on Saturday as the Bundesliga resumes.

The 24-year-old scored seven times in the first half of the season for last term's runners-up, who are down in 10th place this campaign. He missed the return to training at the beginning of the week having tested positive in his native France. Nkunku has yet to be called up by France but is among "serious candidates" to come into the squad, according to the World Cup winners' coach Didier Deschamps. dpa xxde bat mlm
