JUST IN: Seven arrested in Hardap in major cannabis bust

Police in the Hardap Region confiscated 161 cannabis trees worth over N$300 000 on a farm outside Rehoboth, near the Klein Tsumis Agriculture College and arrested seven suspects.

Xico Coetzee (29), Martin Lotter (34), Bebeto Mouton (26), Rodrick Vries (17), Simon Nghinaunye (38), Manfred Kalf (39), and Andries Nowaseb (42) appeared in court on 1 July, where bail was denied. The case was postponed to 8 July for further investigation and a bail application.
