A group exhibition, 'Rising Voices' opens on 10 August at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC). This exhibition brings together the work of Elisia Nghidishange, Lynette Diergaardt, Lynette Musukubili, Kambezunda Ngavee and Vitjitua Ndjiharine. In 2022, through a competitive application process, these five Namibian artists each received a cash award from the Africa Prime Initiative (API), the philanthropic arm of the US-based video streaming platform Africa Prime. The exhibition will feature sculptures in welded metal and stone, weaving in plastic and natural materials, and digital art. To celebrate the artists' work and the generous support from the API, this exhibition will be on display at the FNCC from 11 to 21 August, with an official opening event on 10 August at 19:00. Everyone is welcome to attend, and admission is free.
