The country’s young football stars will be heading to the SKW’s sport fi elds in Windhoek this weekend for the biggest youth tournament of its kind in Namibia - the Retirement Fund Solutions SKW Youth Tournament.
The Cymot SKW Youth Soccer Academy has managed to elevate this relatively young tournament to one of the biggest in terms of participation.
The tournament has been proudly sponsored since its inception six years ago by Retirement Funds Solutions, and their sponsorship this year amounts to N$17 000. Read more about SKW’s youth tournament gets boost

At least three more players can make it in South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL), a former Brave Warriors goalkeeper believes.
Brave Warriors legend, Ronnie Kanalelo believes that more Namibians can make the grade in the South Africa, where he is currently Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit Maritzburg United’s first assistant coach.
Kanalelo, who also acts in a similar capacity with the Namibian national team, revealed this in an exclusive interview with Namibian Sun prior to the Brave Warriors clash with Malawi in a 2014 World Cup qualifier match.
The former goalkeeper explained that scouting is part of his job at Maritzburg, which has already seen two Namibians joining the team. Read more about Kanalelo tips trio for PSL

After a long absence, the Namibian boxer was on song in his Easter weekend bout, securing a great win against his South African opponent.
Joseph ‘Smokey’ Hilongwa made an exciting return to the boxing ring when he defeated South Africa’s Sibusiso Twani in a bloody bout to be crowned the World Boxing Federation (WBF) International Super Flyweight champion last Friday.
Hilongwa, who also holds the World Boxing Association (WBA) Africa Flyweight title, won the 12-round bout on Friday on a unanimous decision.
