Sluysken Samupofu registered Pre-eminence Financial CC, a microlending company that provides short personal loans, on 15 May 2019.

"We offer financial, insurance, and property solutions. We want to build a loan services brand that will become the lead choice for Namibians,” Samupofu said.

The company offers 360-degree financial solutions through the provision of professional, reliable, and trusted microloan services.

In January 2023, Samupofu registered two subsidiaries, Pre-eminence Insurance Broker and Pre-eminence Properties.

He said the entities are being developed and primed to become a modelled brand that expand into a multinational entity.

Optimal customer service

From the get-go, Pre-eminence have harnessed their economies of scale beneficially, possessing enhanced financial capabilities, marketing skills and technology.

Pre-eminence boasts a fintech-based website that encompasses an online calculator and a seamless online loan application.

In addition, an integrated card payment system allows their clients to repay their loans at the time of their choosing.

"We are currently in the beta phase of testing for Android. It is going to be Namibia's first microlending and microfinance mobile application, and it is downloadable on our website."

Customer care

Samupofu said the company offers clients innovative services at a lower price than the standard industry.

“This strategy was inspired by Namibia’s first microlending Android-based mobile application and has done wonders for us,” he said.

"We value customer commitment, quality assurance, a will to win, and personal accountability. Thus, we develop relationships of trust and care that make a positive difference in the lives of their clients and customers; provide outstanding products and unsurpassed services that, together, deliver superior value to customers; exhibit a strong will to win in the marketplace and every aspect of their business; and are personally accountable for delivering on their commitments."

Meet the team

Having been in operation for almost four years, Samupofu said that their team consists of a chief financial officer, Isabel Amutse; a chief operating officer, Dr Lamia Ashipala-Tshiningayamwe, and a chief technology officer, Tunelao Haindobo.

"To promote our mandate, we make use of our mobile application, social media, traditional media, and promotional gifts."
