Unam appoints new research head

The University of Namibia (Unam) has announced the appointment of Professor Cristina Stefan as its new pro-vice-chancellor for research, innovation and development, effective this month.
Stefan will oversee the strategic development and implementation of the university's research agenda.
"Her responsibilities will include enhancing our research capabilities, supporting faculty and student researchers and strengthening our partnerships with industry, government and other academic institutions. Professor Stefan will be instrumental in driving forward our vision to become a global leader in research, innovation and sustainable development," a statement from Unam read.
