ORN versus Ya Nangoloh

I want to add to the recent comments between Mr. Phil ya Nangoloh and the organization Out-Right Namibia (ORN).

I am saddened by the clear misunderstanding of the ORN to really believe that ya Nangoloh would utter violations to your sexual being?

After all he is the one person I know who fights for your rights and any other Namibian citizen irrespective of their sexual or social orientation.

It’s true that what would the point have been had he not mentioned that Mike Nghinamhito is gay?

Would you have reacted the same way if he had described Mike Nghinamhito as black or educated or so? I bet not, you reacted because it was said ‘gay’ that’s what gives us the on lookers the perception that it’s important to you how you are viewed based on your sexual preference.

I agree you advocate for your rights more on sexual advocacy, start looking at the bigger picture it’s out there and don’t come and fight with the one person you need. Also gay men should respect themselves if they don’t want to be identified as ‘sexual harassers’.

I trust ORN would do the right thing to re-read the article, to understand it for what it says and means and apologize to Ya Nangoloh in the same media platform, Hence the over-reaction of ORN in their responds.
