These malls have got you covered

A SchmidtCo Property Developers / Makalani Real Estates initiative
There's no better option than to shop local!
Maroela Mall is known as the people’s mall situated right in the middle of Ongwediva, making it easily accessible to those travelling, cycling and driving. Situated in Mandume Ndemufayo Avenue, Maroela Mall is right next to the only private hospital in northern region, Medipark, and multiple sectional title developments and local homes.

Mall management gives special preference to SMEs for tenancy space as they ourselves started from the bottom with property development before slowly expanding into retail. Their CEOs take pride in seeing families and young people explore their passions. Though they are not home to many nationals, the mall does welcome all companies. Their priority is giving homes of the best quality and price to their customers.

Maroela Mall is home to companies like the Silver Wolf Spur, Cash Crusaders, Crazy Store, Mega Mart, the only cinema apart from Windhoek and Swakopmund, Epic Cinemas Ongwediva, Radio Electronic, Multichoice, as well as multiple universities such as Botho and Tulipohamba, and business schools.

But wait, there’s more

Except for big brand names, Maroela Mall also has a variety of food stores and boutiques that have the most beautiful clothes as well as local traditional wear. There are multiple stores catering for household items and furniture. You can find the best cake stores and professional hair and spa treatments here too.

Maroela often hosts farmers and SME markets as well as offering support to the local SPCA and other initiatives, so keep an eye out for their next event where you can expect a variety of parties offering freebies and tasters.

So, if you need baby products, a massage, real estate services, good food, and the latest blockbuster or want to explore a course, Maroela Mall has got you covered.

Mega Mart, Maroela Mall’s anchor is amongst the only stores that supply A-grade meat and smoke it in-store while supporting local farmers to put the freshest Namibian-produced products on the racks.

Shopping at Maroela Mall means you shop local and fresh while supporting young business people or families following their passions. Shopping at Maroela Mall means you shop Namibian!

New development

Heading to the Rundu, Kavango Gateway Mall promises to deliver 18 000m² of shopping floor space and an overall size of approximately 20000m².

Since it is located on the Trans Caprivi Highway leading to Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe, Kavango Gateway Mall will be expected to be a major attraction.

The developers, SchmidtCo Property Developers and Makalani Real Estates, believe this will be the largest mall in a 400km radius on the Namibian side and should therefore attract customers from surrounding towns as far afield as Grootfontein.

Rundu is also a cross-border point with Angola and therefore enjoys considerable Angolan buying power.

The developers hope to be breaking ground in 2024-2025.
