The record-breaking singer says the ex-lover who inspired her mega successful album 21 left her “angry, bitter, lonely and devastated. I tried to learn to drive but that didn’t really work,” she said.

A brand new entertainment magazine hit the Windhoek scene at the start of this month with the free release of Namlicious’s first issue. Tjil spoke to the spunky mother and son team behind this new development.
According to Anneleen and Jaco van Zyl, the idea for the magazine grew from the need they saw for more events and entertainment promotion in Namibian media. “At first we decided to come up with an advertising book where people could advertise their parties and events,” said Jaco, “but there was so much interest that we later decided to make a magazine. The Windhoek Carnival, better known as WIKA, turns 59 years old when this year’s festivities kick off with the Biwak on Saturday, 26 March. The National Theatre of Namibia’s (NTN) five-year strategic plan took centre stage at the national theatre’s official opening ceremony for the year last month.
The theme for the NTN’s 2010 to 2014 strategic direction is: ‘Art is the seed for social transformation and change.” Speaking at the ceremony, NTN General Manager Werner Thaniseb said that over the past 20 years, the arts and culture sector has gone through commendable transformation and change – moving towards a creative and vibrant industry with the potential of contributing to Namibia’s Gross Domestic Product. Lady Gaga’s Album Downloads
The controversial pop star’s first album passed the 300 000-downloads mark, the Official Charts Company said last week. The achievement makes Gaga’s album the most successful ever in the download charts. ‘
The Fame’ is also one of only three records to have sold more than 250 000 copies online. Lady Gaga is preparing to release her second album ‘Born This Way’ in May, revealing the video for its title track earlier this week. The second single from Britney Spears’ upcoming album ‘Femme Fatale’ was posted on the internet on Thursday, and the upbeat dance anthem ‘Till the World Ends’ has some pundits predicting a club hit.
